Our mission at “The Friends of Kenny Warren Foundation”, is to help the 10,000 children that are diagnosed with cancer, in the United States each year.
Having your child diagnosed with cancer is something that no family should have to endure. The ensuing treatments, surgical procedures, chemotherapy and radiation are tremendously devastating both to the children and their families.
Once you realize the extent of your child’s illness, reality sets in. You ask yourself the following questions: How are we going to be able to pay the doctor and hospital bills? Is the best doctor available to help your child covered by your insurance? Who will take care of your other children while you focus on the needs of the one suffering with Cancer? How do you pay your mortgage payment, your car payment and your credit card bills when all your money is needed to give your sick child a fighting chance against Cancer? And, unfortunately, if your child does not win the battle against this devastating disease, you are faced with the question of how are you going to pay for a proper funeral and burial that today costs close to $20,000.00.
The economic burden of Cancer can be devastating. Even worse, one or both parents have to stop working. This can put a serious emotional and financial strain on a family that is already focusing all of its energy on their ill child. It takes an unbelievable collaborative effort to keep these families afloat.
After this happened to us we realized that there are a lot of families out there that need our help. With the help of our beloved son’s godfather, Danny Maggio, we established “The Friends of Kenny Warren Foundation.”
In Kenny’s memory we will help the thousands of families that are in the situation that we were in.
By supporting “The Friends of Kenny Warren Foundation,” you are directly helping a child in need. Remember one person can truly make a difference.
